Delete your account
Cribbage Street, for Android and iPhone. Effective 13 October 2026.
On this page 4 sections
- In the app: Home, You, Delete account, and tap again.
- Without the app: write to support@cribbagestreet.com with your player name.
- Your name, rating, sign-ins and blocks go. Past games stay, under “Deleted player”.
- You cannot undo it. Google’s ad data is separate: use Google’s controls for it.
Deleting your account removes your name, your rating and record, your sign-ins with Google or Apple, your block list, the counts your phones sent, and every key that lets a phone open the account. You cannot undo it.
In the app
- On Home, tap You at the bottom left. It opens your profile.
- Go down to Account at the bottom of your profile and tap Delete account.
- Tap it again. It now reads “Tap again to delete your account”. The account is deleted at once, and the app says “Your account is deleted. Games against the computer stay on this phone.”
Your phone needs a connection for this. Play online makes a new account the next time you tap it.
Delete account shows only when your phone holds an account. If your profile says “Not online yet”, this phone never made one, and our server holds nothing from it.
Without the app
If you signed in with Google or Apple, install Cribbage Street on any phone, sign in from your profile and delete the account as above.
If you played as a guest and no longer have the phone, write to support@cribbagestreet.com with your player name and about when you last played. We hold no email address for any account, so those two are how we find yours. We delete it the way the app does and reply when it is done, within 30 days.
What lives only on your phone (your settings, games against the computer and lessons) goes when you uninstall the app.
What stays
Nothing that names you:
- Finished games stay in your opponents’ records, because they are part of their history too. Your name in them becomes “Deleted player”.
- A blank account record stays, so those games still point at something: its random id and the dates it was made and last used. It holds no name and no sign-in, and no phone can open it.
- Chat messages you sent go with the normal 30-day deletion, shown as “Deleted player” until then. A table under report review keeps its chat until we resolve the report.
- Reports you made, and reports about you, stay until we resolve them.
- Game statistics (see the privacy policy) lose their link to the account.
- Backup copies of the database roll over within a few days.
Ad data
Deleting your account does not delete the data Google’s ad software collected (see the privacy policy). Google holds it, not us, and it is not tied to your account. To limit it, change your choices in Settings, then Ad privacy, where the app shows it. On Android, open the phone’s Settings, then Privacy (or Google), then Ads, to reset or delete your advertising ID. On an iPhone, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking, to stop the app, or every app, from tracking you. Google’s own ad settings are at myadcenter.google.com, and how Google uses this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
